How does reseller hosting work?

You have a reseller hosting account control panel called Web Host Manager. WHM is where you create your client accounts (cPanels). After filling in their account information you click "create." This will instantly set them up with their very own control panel called cPanel. This is where they will go to administer their website. Once they are logged into their cPanel they can create subdomains, email addresses, change passwords, and much more without requiring any additional assistance from you.


Need Help with Transfers?

WebCheap will transfer your account(s) from your old host for FREE. If you would like your accounts transferred, please contact us after you signup. We can also assist your new clients with transfers and installations. The cost is $10 per site.

CPanel & WebHostManager (WHM)

cPanel® and WHM™ (WebHost Manager) is the next generation web hosting control panel system. Both cPanel & WHM are extremely feature rich as well as include an easy to use web based GUI (Graphical User Interface).

WHM allows resellers maximum flexibility and control over their resold accounts and other resources. Using WHM, you have full control over your resold accounts, you can setup/modify/delete your resold accounts instantly.

cPanel is designed for the end users of your system and allows them to control everything from adding / removing email accounts to administering MySQL databases.

Anonymous DNS Servers and Server Name

In order to ensure your privacy as a reseller of WebCheap , we use an anonymous domain name for our reseller server names. This same domain is also used to provide anonymous DNS servers to all resellers, so that instead of telling your customers having to point their domain names to "ns.webcheap.net", they can point to "ns.anonymousservers.com" (also see "Custom/Private DNS NameServers" below).

There is no information or company name located in the public WHOIS record or the HTTP address for the anonymous domain.


Custom/Private DNS NameServers

You also have the option of getting your own nameservers (I.E. "ns1.yourdomain.com" and "ns2.yourdomain.com). This gives your company a more professional image and gives your customers reassurance.
